COVID peeled back the troubling layers of stress and political turmoil that came with life in the United States.  Once the mask was removed the unease became impossible to sustain.  Rather than suffer and stagnate she searched for viable options and decided to explore the possibility of Portugal.

Today Walker is a resident of Coimbra, Portugal where she is learning the language soaking up the culture and exploring all of the possibilities that tomorrow holds.

Sherri Tolliver

Sherrilynn (Sherri) Tolliver is co-host of Spillin’ & Liftin’—Conversations of Wisdom, a
podcast devoted to thoughtful, honest conversations that inspire clarity, connection, and growth—where we “share” what we know to “uplift” your soul.
Sherri co-created the podcast from a deep conviction that meaningful conversation matters. The show grew out of a desire to slow down and make space for real dialogue about life—our stories, our choices, our highs and lows, our learning, our growth, our wisdom, and sometimes our uncertainty about how we arrived where we are. These are the conversations people often rush past, yet quietly long to have.

Sherri brings a lifetime of experience as a leader, mentor, coach, and educator, guiding adults through reflection, learning, and personal and professional development. Over the course of her career, she held senior executive leadership roles in learning, operations, and organizational development; taught graduate-level business courses; and served as President and CEO of two successful management consulting firms in the Washington, DC/Maryland/Virginia region. Across roles and seasons, she has been trusted with responsibility that required integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and care for people.

Just as important as professional experience is lived experience. As a mother, widow,
entrepreneur, and lifelong learner, Sherri understands that wisdom is often shaped in the quiet moments—through loss, resilience, reflection, and growth. These experiences inform how she listens, the questions she asks, and the space she creates for others to be seen and heard.

Known for her warmth and grounded presence, Sherri believes learning and growing never
ends—it simply evolves.
Her personal philosophy is captured in the words:

“We do not live to see through others;
we live to see others through.” —Peter De Vries
